MOST when they read about geographical Israel it is with little interest or No interest. Descriptions of the land seems inconsequential to people. Just a century ago, the modern State of Israel did not exist, and half of the world’s Jewish population was obliterated by the Nazi Holocaust just a generation ago. But today Israel stands strong among the nations Even when there are those who are turning their backs on them. The prophet Isaiah asks in 66:8, Who has ever heard of such a thing? Who has ever seen such things? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? The answer to that is YES! Not because of Israels might, but because of Gods faithfulness to His covenant. The reason we should take an interest in the land of Israel is that YHWH does. The Bible is filled with details about this Land. The land of Israel is the stage on which the majority of the Bible is played out. It is the Place where Most of the End Times Prophecies will take place. It is the Place where Yeshua HaMashiachs feet will touch down on His second coming. One of the greatest prophecies of the Messiah is ... And many peoples [Gentile believers] will come and say, Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; that He may teach us concerning His way, and that we may walk in His paths. For the law will go forth from Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. Isaiah 2:3 These exact words are also found in Micah 4:2. This is considered a messianic prophecy by Judaism, and they are correct in that interpretation. Judaism says that the Messiah will teach the Torah to all nations in the kingdom, that everyone will come to Jerusalem to worship the LORD. When Yeshua gave the great commission to his disciples, He commanded them to go into all nations (the Gentiles) and teach them just as they had been taught (the Torah). That applies to us today. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Matthew 28:19–20 The Land of Israel is a land for which YHWH your God cares; the eyes of YHWH your God are always on it, from the beginning even to the end of the year (Deuteronomy 11:12). The prophets say that when the Messiah comes, He will gather all the people of Israel back to the land of Israel. With the world condition today that time may not be that far off.
