MOTHER KILLED HER2 KIDS, ATTEMPTEDSUICIDE: POLICEMUKEET AKMALISrinagar, July 27: The policeSaturday made a shockingrevelation that two children whowere found throat slit in theirBemina apartment earlier this weekwere killed by their mother.“Investigation points fingerstowards the mother of the childrenwho were found murdered inBemina. She is the prime suspectand according to prima- facieevidences, she is behind thisgruesome crime. But we arewaiting for the FSL reports,” SeniorSuperintendent of Police (SSP),Ashiq Hussain Bukhari toldreporters at a press conference.“But there are some technicalitieslike we still have to match herfingerprints with the weapon foundat the spot with which she slitthroats of her children and lateralso cut her throat,” he added.Pertinently, the two children of aMolvi were found brutallymurdered while his wife wascritically wounded Wednesdaymorning. Aaliya Iftikhar (5) andMuhammad Hashim (3) and theirmother Naseema (40) wife of MolviMuhammad Iftikhar Lone werefound lying in pool of blood intheir apartment next to MasjidNoor Iqbalabad Bemina soon aftermorning prayers.The SSP ruled out involvement ofany outsider in the killings saying:“There’s no involvement ofoutsiders in the murder as cluespoint towards her alone.”He also spoke about some Tantrik,whom she would visit. “She is aresident of Gurez and was underinfluence of a Tantrik. She hadrecently met the Tantrik at Gurezand after the meeting she used tosay that she was fed up with herlife and was supposed to meetsome Faqir on Wednesday,” hesaid. When asked about the mentalcondition of the accused, Bukharisaid: “So far the medical test of thewoman has not been conductedand it will be premature to sayanything about it. But at hospitalwhen she regained conscious shetried to kill herself again.”To mention, the gory incidentoccurred when the Imam IftikharAhmad was out for Fajr prayers.On reaching home, he found hisfamily in a pool of blood.Iftikhar, hails from Gurez in northKashmir and had shifted toIqbalabad’s Noor Masjid aroundthree months ago. Earlier, he usedto lead prayers at a Masjid inNowgam area of the City.
