MOTORCYCLIST DIES AFTER CRASH IN EFFINGHAM COUNTY: One man is dead following a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV Friday afternoon. Mark Bromund Jr, 33, of Rincon, succumbed to his injuries early this morning at Memorial Health University Medical Center. Shortly before 3:30p.m on Friday Effingham County Sheriffs Deputies responded to a crash with injuries on Hodgeville Road near Kolic Helmey Road. Initial reports indicate that Bromund, the driver of a motorcycle, was traveling southbound on Hodgeville Road passing vehicles when he struck an SUV which was turning north onto Hodgeville Road from Kolic Helmey Road, Effingham County Sheriffs spokesman David Ehsanipoor said. This crash remains under investigation by the Effingham County Sheriffs Office Traffic Enforcement Unit. #wtoc
