MOTTVILLE’S VERSION OF THE CHASE STARTS SUNDAY! Love it or hate - TopicsExpress

MOTTVILLE’S VERSION OF THE CHASE STARTS SUNDAY! Love it or hate it, it is a time honored tradition at the historic Mottville Speedway which has been taking place for over 20 years now! It starts September 15 with double points! September 22 is double points and then September 23 is triple points! All October races are triple points with BONUS POINTS added for October 19 and 26 and November 2! So if you have a good points lead and you continue to race at the historic Mottville Speedway you are probably safe! But otherwise it is wide open! So with all that is mind lets look at each individual division! KARTS-Only 2 dates left and both are double points! Dillon Dane has a 58 point lead over Marshall Pebler! Probably safe as long as Dillon does not blow an engine in the heat! If that happens either night, its going to be close! Tight battle for 2nd between Marshall Pebler and Mark Pebler with only 12 points difference! SPORTSMEN-This one is wide open! Lisa Saylor may well end up being our 2013 Sportsmen points champion and Sportsmen Rookie of the Year! Yes, she is in 5th but she shows up each and every night and should get closer to the top each and every week! MINI STOCKS-Very tight race between Marcus Carlson and Dennis Yoder with Carlson holding a 49 point lead! Yoder looks good for Rookie of the Year. MINI THUNDER CAR-Jack Hurford took over the points lead Sunday with Chad Gray absent. Chad blew his 2nd engine of the season and his future for 2013 season is doubtful! Hurford holds a tiny 17 point and Ed Martz is just 53 back! Martz appears to have MTC Rookie of the Year about wrapped up! Danny Filson, despite some tough luck, is only 128 back! James Trussell sets in 7th but has a great chance for a top 5 points finish for sure! At this point it looks like Jason Harmon and Todd Roberts will drop out of the top 10 and Chris Walsworth, Troy Lindsey, Bill Hurst and Kyle Odell will move up! With most of the area tracks having concluded their regular season we may wells see more and more MTC in the coming weeks at Mottville! Samantha Wolkens has a 63 point lead over Brian Englehart and Samantha would appear to have the Rookie of the Year award about taken care of. David Terry sits in 3rd but at present has no car! David told me Tuesday night he hopes to finish the season in the 56 car owned by Brian Englehart. Scott Binkley is just 22 points out of 3rd so keep you eye on the Mutt Mobile! Joe Lambright is a solid 5th! Leroy Dick, with a late start, is in 8th but should move to 7th this week and very soon 6th. Another one who could move up is Tyler Mead, now 11th. We know of some people building Hornets so that car count could possibly grow in the coming weeks! 8 race nights left at the historic Mottville Speedway for 2013! And along the way we may well have a few nice surprises for some drivers! LET THE CHASE BEGIN!!
