MOURINHO: ‘SUAREZ DESERVES PUNISHMENT BUT STADIUM BAN IS WRONG’ Jose Mourinho has voiced his concern with the length to which FIFA have punished Luis Suarez for his bite on Giorgio Chiellini but insisted that some form of punishment was necessary. FIFA slapped the Uruguayan with a four month and 9- match ban including a controversial stadium ban that means the striker will not be allowed to enter any football stadium. The Chelsea boss believes that while punishment was a given, the stadium ban was excessive. “I think the punishment is deserved because it is an accumulation of the same negative act on the football pitch,” Mourinho said. “What I really don’t like in football is the stadium ban. What’s the problem for Suarez to be in the stadium, in the middle of the Uruguay supporters watching the game between his country and Colombia? It’s too hard; it’s something that I really don’t understand. “If his punishment comes as a sequence of three similar mistakes in three different situations, it is something that he deserves. It has to stop.” Does Mourinho have a point here???
