MOVIE: IN A WORLD: Carol (Lake Bell) finds herself being a vocal coach to others such as Eva Longoria(Eva Longoria doing a funny cameo of herself). But as the daughter of Sam Soto(Fred Melamed) a voice over icon she truly wants to break into this male dominated business. So she finds herself vying for the promo voice over for an upcoming movie quadrilogy called “The Amazon Games”. But her main competition turns out to be her own father & upcoming egotistical male protégé Gustav (Ken Marino). Helping Carol is shy but smitten sound studio technician Louis (Demetri Martin). A secondary story concerns Carol’s sister Dani (Michaela Watkins) who while she has a loving husband (Rob Corridy) she wonders if there is something more exciting out there. This is a well-acted indie type comedy that won’t have you falling off your seats laughing but does entertain. 2.5 STARS
