MOVIES ARE BACK! The Taunton Senior Center is pleased to present the movie “Argo” on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. “Argo” presents the events of November 4, 1979 when militants stormed the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, Iran, taking 66 American hostages. Amid the chaos, six Americans manage to slip away and find refuge with the Canadian ambassador. Knowing that it’s just a matter of time before the refugees are found and likely executed the U.S. government calls on extractor Tony Mendez (Ben Affleck) to rescue them. “Argo” is the story of this unique and historic rescue. On Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. the center will present the highly acclaimed movie “Life of Pi”. The adventure drama about the son of a zookeeper who survives a shipwreck by stowing away on a lifeboat with zebra, an orangutan, a hyena, and a Bengal tiger. Seniors interested in attending the movies are asked to call the Senior Center at 508-821-1425 to register for the show. Popcorn will be served.
