MOVING ON WITH 2002 AND MY TITILLATING TRAVELS.. After locking in Prague as one of my top cities for cultural beauty, I took the train to Bratislava, capital of Slovakia, it was a very pleasant place, less tourists and more friendly people, rather unspoilt, too.. I wandered around the city during my short stay, walked up the hill to Bratislava Castle which was well worth the effort for the wonderful view of the Danube River.. I visited several old churches and cathedrals which gave me a big dose of spiritual strength to help me continue my solo journey onwards, on my special round the world trip and beyond.. From Bratislava I travelled again by train to Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia, this was another mini sojourn, here too, people were welcoming.. I enjoyed a coffee, as always, as always, at a lovely little café at Ljubljana Castle, then a group of young school children let me join in their fun and games.. It was nice to be like a child, have fun like a child, this keeps me eternally youthful.. I had a really bizarre dream about aliens here, I dont mind weird dreams but some nightmares are really scary.. My final Eastern European experience on this trip was Zagreb, more train travel yet again and a brief moment in Croatias capital city with awesome architecture in both lower and upper towns plus lively street markets and town squares.. Completing this part of my planned travel, I got back to Vienna to revisit St. Stephens Cathedral and have a big art fix at the Kunsthistorisches museum.. What a magnificent collection of paintings, an argosy of artefacts, I was infused with the glory of all things art.. I was overwhelmed, overjoyed by such great masterpieces.. ART AND BEAUTY ARE ETERNAL.. LOOK BEYOND THE FACADE..
