MOVING SPACES 2015 A NEW HOME FOR COLUMBIA CITY JAZZ Columbia - TopicsExpress

MOVING SPACES 2015 A NEW HOME FOR COLUMBIA CITY JAZZ Columbia City Jazz has been in its current home for a little over 13 years. During that time, roughly 5,500 students have walked through our doors. Weve taught over 21,840 classes, produced over 150 performances and had over 3,000 rehearsal hours for those performances! We have students on scholarship to USC, Marymount - Manhattan and California, The London Contemporary Dance School, and many others. We have two dancers currently touring with Shaping Sound, an amazing contemporary dance group performing around the U.S. We recently had two dancers featured in Carrie Underwood’s new video, Something in the Water. On top of that, we have one dancer touring Europe with Rasta Thomas’ Bad Boys of Dance and other former students performing at Disneyland, Paris and Disneyworld, Orlando. As a studio, we have performed in China, Bulgaria, and Austria. Every day we expose our students to the world of dance right here at home, so that they may take those skills and their passion to flourish wherever they may go. And now, due to the expansion of Riverbanks Zoo, we need a new home for our students. Moving on is an exciting step forward, but a costly endeavor...and we want to do it right. It is our goal to build a new home for CCJC. We are designing a space with state of the art studios, comfortable locker & waiting rooms, a place where our dancers will feel at home! We have identified a location that we love that is approximately one mile from the intersection of I-20 and Rt.378. This is an opportunity for you - our admirers, supporters, fans, and families to support CCJCs moving spaces. We are looking for individual and corporate donors to help us make dancers dreams come true in a space that is as fresh, fun, and vibrant as they are. An investment in Columbia City Jazz is an confirmation of the value dance and music bring to the lives of those who practice, perform, and participate in the arts. The quality of life in the Midlands is enhanced when we have a true commitment to the arts and the spaces they hold in our community and in our lives. To learn more about our Moving Spaces campaign please contact Kim Benson at [email protected]. Various sponsorship levels are available - and even the smallest donation can make a big impact. Thank you for your support of Columbia City Jazz and the amazing dancers who learn & grow with us everyday!
