He plays the viola damore quite charmingly. What touched me and what first appeared childish was his whistling. He whistles recitatives and arias as competently as any singer with great expression, polish, tremolo, trills and so forth, in short, his whistling is really to admire and he even accompanies himself pizzicato on the violin .
