MP Alya Nassif of the State of Law Coalition asked the executive and the legislative authorities “to reject any dictates, on the selection of the Iraqi Secretary of Defense, by the U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry.” Nassif said in a statement received by IraqiNews “the intents of the visit of Kerry to Iraq are known. The American administration is seeking to impose a certain personality to take over the Ministry of Defense, and this disgraceful intervention is unacceptable in Iraqi affairs, especially in the security file, which is one of the most important and most dangerous files in Iraq “. She added that “the executive and legislative authorities must rejected any American dictates in this regard, and to inform John Kerry that the Iraqi cabinet reshuffle is a purely Iraqi affair .Iraqis are more knowledgeable about what is good for them and what hurt them.”
