MP. Its appalling to see how PDP chief spokesperson Naeem Akhtar continues to maintain that the Party has kept its doors wide open for a poosible alliance with BJP despite seething criticism from all quarters and more importantly from the ordinary Kashmiri, who gave his mandate to PDP against BJP; not for an eventual alliance between tthe two. PDPs claim that the autonomy of the state is non-negotiable, holds no water in the eventuality of an alliance with BJP. BJPs creed of divisive politics and anti-muslim communal agenda is an open secret. Its longstanding anti-kashmir take on article 370 is no matter of speculation either. The BJP, on the contrary, has won the last parliamentary elections through a maasive communal polarization of the electorate and the very regressive and anti-democratic anti-minority agendas of ghar wapasi, uniform civil code and ram mandir continue to be its USP under the more sophisticated garb and false facade of development. Clearly the PDP has no idea of how the ordinary kashmiri feels and does not care for what he wants. The peoples mandate to PDP is not permanent though and if the party fails to recognize this today, the people will certainly remind it this tomorrow!
