MP Questions over visa traders MP Riyadh Al-Adsani said the visa traders and unskilled workers have made a huge negative impact in this country. In this regard he has presented several queries to the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor on the issue of visa traders and bogus companies, reports local daily Arab Times.According to Arab Times report, he also blames the high rate of crimes, the traffic congestion and the increasing numbers of visitors at the hospitals to this negative phenomenon.Citing the last state budget, he said, the state spends approximately KD 6 billion on services such as electricity and water, medicines and medical services and other things. He said the government has the duty to spend on health, roads and support services “which means the unskilled workers negatively affect the social and economic status of the state and this eventually raises the rate of crimes and thefts.”He said according to available information, there are about 43,000 unchecked licenses and database of 39,000 licenses in all the six governorates have not been updated. He also said the information revealed that there are about 27,968 forged files and 38,986 licenses have been corrected while the database of 71,000 workers have not been updated and no decisions have been taken on them.In his question, Al-Adsani wants to know what has caused the delay in inspection and updating the files, the licenses, and database of information of the companies. He also asked about the current mechanism followed by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor on the issues referred to in the previous question and what is the future plan to address these violations and bogus licenses. He said based on the statement issued to the local press the minister had promised to apply the law in its strict form on bogus companies and had also promised to take legal measures against them.In this respect, Al-Adsani wants the minister to provide him with all legal measures that she has taken since she took office till date.He also asked the minister to provide him with names of the companies that have been referred to the Prosecution and the reason for their referral from the time she took office till date.
