MRIs are over, and just like on American Idol (which starts tonight BTW - let the eye rolling begin) the results are in. The cancer cells did not appear anywhere else! Yay! The tumor looks a bit smaller than it was. Yay. There are two small dots near the tumor that werent there before. Boo. I have an infection the doctors are treating with antibiotics starting tonight, and those dots might just be an inflammation related to infection. Or it might be more cancer cells. Ill have more labs on Tuesday, and if all is clear, Ill go back to the hospital for chemo on Wednesday or Thursday of next week. So thats the report. When I was texting this to one of my friends, suddenly I felt very sad. Its felt like I had been told I had cancer all over again, and I had a bad case of allergies. (Thats what we call it when we are crying but dont want to admit it.) Silly, right? But she reminded me that God is perfectly fine with our emotions. David (shepherd, fugitive, King, etc) always sang or wrote poetry expressing his emotions. Well if David who was known as a man after Gods own Heart could cry tears of sorrow until his pillow was soaked, then it will be fine for me to cry enough tears to blame on leaky allergy eyes! Here is what God have me in my bible reading today. Ive personalized it: Ps 94 Who will rise up for me against this cancer? Who will take ap stand fo me against the side effects? Unless The Lord had given me help I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death. When I said my Flipperis slipping, Yoir unfailing love, Lord, supported me When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy. This morning, mine and Phils prayer time was about thankfulness. So we thanked Him for everything! Even the cancer that was in me. As Ive said before, I dont like it, but I cant think it away. I can pray and ask him to remove it and in the meantime I can keep praying, but be looking for opportunities for these abnormal cells to bring me to someone who is searching for what eternity holds! Now you know whats been going on in our lives recently. I dont feel like having visitors, but Id love a trxt , before you come up.
