MRT Corp continued its school engagement programme in Sekolah Kebangsaan and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Convent Kajang. The objective of the programme is to raise awareness among students on the positive impact of MRT and the benefits of using public transport. The schools were chosen for its location as the school buildings are located along the MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line. Nearly 500 students attended the programme, together with teachers and member of Parents Teacher Association. They were also shown the alignment video of the MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line. During the engagement session, MRT Corp Director of Strategic Communications and Public Relations Encik Amir Mahmood Razak presented the ’Hibiscus Star” train model to the school. The “Hibiscus Star” train was one of the three design concepts proposed by Siemens and BMW Group Designworks USA. The gift was part of the MRT Corp to recognize the support given by the school towards the construction of the MRT project. The MRT Information Truck was also stationed at the school compound for three days. There will be three MRT Stations in Kajang, provisionally called Saujana Impian Station, Bandar Kajang Station and Kajang Station. MRT Corp wishes students all the best for their future endeavors!
