#MSwx - Happy Friday Mississippi! Its been another scorcher out there with highs in the mid-90s and heat indices between 100-105° or higher! A layer of clouds will help to hold in some of that daytime heat tonight with lows only dipping into the mid to upper-70s. Minus a passing shower or storm throughout the overnight hours, well see partly to mostly cloudy skies. Saturday looks to start out dry in most areas with just isolated storms but better rain chances will move in by the later afternoon and evening hours after daytime high temps in the mid to upper-90s with heat indices, once again, peaking above 100°. Sunday looks to bring our best chance for showers and storms, so have those umbrellas handy! Highs will be slightly cooler through the second half of the weekend thanks to the rain and cloud cover. Well top out in the lower-90s before the summer heat, humidity and chances for heavy rain return by the beginning of next week.
