MUGGERIDGE ACTS SWIFTLY. Following the sudden resignation of joint first team manager Simon Colbran, a new assistant manager has been appointed tonight with immediate effect. Mark Irvine steps up. The Crows First Team Manager Sean Muggeridge has acted swiftly to appoint a replacement for the departed Simon Colbran and is pleased to announce that Mark Irvine has agreed to step up from his current position of goalkeeping coach and take on the role of Assistant First Team Manager. Your website spoke to Sean once Mark had agreed to accept the position and this is what he had to say, Mark has been involved with both the club and the first team since the start of the season and during that time hes been a great help to all concerned and a good source for advice. He has a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience of the league we currently play in, having been involved in managerial positions at such clubs as Maidstone United and Lordswood and it would be a waste if I did not ask him to help me move this club and all its teams forward in the future. I look forward to working with him and Im pleased that he has accepted the task that lies ahead as we move through this season and the seasons that lie ahead. Your website spoke briefly to Mark tonight and firstly congratulated him on his step up from goalkeeping coach to Assistant First Team Manager and then asked him how he felt. He said, Firstly Id like to thank Sean for asking me to become his Assistant Manager and Im really looking forward to working with him and all the players as Ive thoroughly enjoyed my time with the club since the moment I joined. I feel I have a lot to offer and cant wait for the game this Saturday against Corinthian to come around and will do whatever I can, assisting Sean, to help the team get a positive result and help the club move up the table. The club have some excellent young players coming through and I think I can help Sean and the rest of the clubs management structure develop and make these players good enough to play and hold down regular first team places in the future. The website wish both Sean and Mark good luck as they embark on the next chapter of their careers whilst adding to the history of the Crows.
