MURDER,THIKA MAN MURDRED Thika town residents today woke up to a rude shock after a body of 32 year old man was recovered near Broadways secondary school. According to Samuel Chege, a resident of Thika town, the body was seen lying near a thicket by the roadside at a busy street in the wee hours of the morning. “I was going to attend to my normal duties when I saw a dead man’s body with bruises on the hand lying on the road side. That is when I decided to inform police for necessary action’, said Chege. However according to junior police officers who sought anonymity for they are not allowed to speak to the press, the deceased did not have any identification document. The police said the deceased sustained a deep cut on the left hand but added that the scene did not show any signs of scuffle, meaning that the body was dumped there after being murdered elsewhere. Police have launched investigations into the matter as cases of murder continue to rise in Thika in the past one month.
