MUSHURE TO SUNDOWNS? Mamelodi Sundowns are interested in signing Zimbabwe international and Dynamos defender, Ocean Mushure. According to the Sunday Mail, the Sundowns staff were impressed with the Dynamos fullback during their tour of Zimbabwe last month and made their interests known after the friendly encounter. The clubs secetary-general Webster Chikengezha confirmed the Brazilians interest in the 28-year-old, whose contract ends in December. “What I know is that their coaches were very impressed by Ocean when we played them in a practice match in July and they expressed a willingness to take him aboard, Chikengezha told the Sunday Mail. “But so far they haven’t come back to us to officially open negotiations. “I can’t say much as regards his contract, but I can confirm that it’s running out at the end of the year and should Sundowns not come back for him, we will sit down with him and try to extend it as we have set ourselves a September 30 deadline to finalise our 2015 squad,” However, an official at Sundowns says the club held talks with Mushure after their friendly clash. “Peter and their coach (Mosimane) talked to him after the match and said they would be coming back to open negotiations with Dynamos. “His advantage is that Peter already knows him very well, having worked with him during his time as an assistant to then Warriors coach Klaus Dieter- Pagels,” said the official. #gdn
