MUSIC/SHOWS : STILL IN THE MOOD: The story continues … with a remount at the Rialto Theatre Montreal, Qc, April 3, 2014 – Hot on the heels of their recent success with the Cole Porter revue, Cole & Co., the Hudson Music Club (HMC) is driving down the highway to bring last Fall’s hit sequel, STILL IN THE MOOD: The story continues …, into the city for four performances only at the Rialto Theatre Hall on May 2, 3 and 4, 2014. Charlie, the lovable WWll vet, is back at his favorite Legion again, only this time it’s to have a drink before the Remembrance Day Parade and the new bartender, Big Joe, is there to keep the beer flowing and the conversation lively. The duo reminisce about the old days, good times and bad, while they listen to the beautiful war-time tunes that kept young hearts hopeful and the home fires burning brightly for the lads and lasses overseas. Rialto owner, Ezio Carosielli, said, “The Rialto is an entertainment hub, not just for Montreal but the surrounding areas too. Hudson Music Club fans- all music fans of this era- are going to love our venue and be impressed with the wide range of entertainment choices. Once they set foot in the door, I know we’ll see them again very soon.” West and Off-Islanders, as well as locals, have extra incentive to take in this 1940s musical revue: every advance ticket purchased comes with a free voucher for any upcoming Rialto Theatre show … the equivalent of a two-for-one sale. “If you haven’t been to the Rialto before, now’s a good time to start,” added Carosielli. What makes the sequel unique is that, in addition to the heartwarming story and HMC voices harmonizing the 1940s melodies, audiences get an extra treat with the award-winning women’s barbershop quartet, OVER THE TOP. HMC is proud of its family heritage, with multiple generations regularly appearing on stage together. This year, 93-year-old Frank Canniff, a genuine WWII veteran, contributes along with daughter, Gail Marchand, (Club President/Costume Designer) and son-in-law, André Marchand, the show’s producer. Audiences can expect to hear the following songs and more.
