MUSICIANSHIP. If youre a musician who overplays, Id wager that you havent spent enough time studying these guys & the way that they BLEND. Because (despite what you may have heard from the bedroom/YouTube shredders) it is perfectly possible to be a virtuoso without being a showoff jackass who seizes every opportunity to step on toes, disrupt the song & upstage the singer for the sake of saying dig me and admire the fact that I can cram a LOT of notes into this measure.... that isnt virtuosity, thats immaturity. THIS is virtuosity. Here we have 5 of the greatest musicians who ever lived, and they understand the art of making music TOGETHER, complimenting each other, exercising some restraint for the sake of the greater good (even in cases where theyre perfectly capable of doing something more athletically impressive).
