MUST YOU FORWARD EVERY MESSAGE? I have been thinking about this issue for a long time. Each time I had wanted to write about it, I relented,hoping to see a change. Whenever I receive broadcast messages from friends such as From a privileged source or with the captionfrom the RCCG altaror from God and the likes...... Some will even begin by sayingI am God I see you struggling with something or there is fight between God and Satan or if you love God forward this message or Dont ignore this message, someone ignored it and so so so happened. Forward this and receive good news or a surprise calls or rewards in form of money......some would even forward messages that has been in circulation for some years. Some will even mention the day of the week where as the day had passed. For instance if the message specify Monday, the message would come in on Friday. It will even bear the caption Breaking news what is breaking in a news story that is not current and genuine. It was in the same vein that some illiterates broadcast message that people should bathe with salt and water on August 8 ,2014. I challenged those friends that forwarded the message to me and one of them said it was my father that told me! Then ??? Must you send it to me if your father told you was my reply? I asked another person who said does it cost me anything to bathe with salt and water? I refused and I stood my ground because it was not scientific,spiritual and didnt appeal to common sense! There was a day they told people not to wear red materials. What baffles me alot is that some of those I expected to discard such messages also join in broadcasting. Anytime I receive such messages I dont read them. I have told some of my friends to stop forwarding them to me but they wont listen. How can a message claim my love for God is being tested by my forwarding or my refusal to forward? How can a message claim that I will be on my own for 7years if I refuse to forward it when God is my ever present help in times of need?Since you have been forwarding it how many good news have you received? Have you become wealthier than you used to be?Since you have been forwarding them do you look like one who loves God? Since you have been forwarding it has your struggles ceased with sins and wretchedness? Have you been safe from sickness since you have been believing those messages? I want to announce that anyone who wants to read the messages each time they come in, should critically examine the messages. Check its conformity with the word of God, check if the message is spiritual,logical and scientific! I will not hesitate to scold anyone with words henceforth if I get such messages in my inbox,on my walls on facebook and chat messages on BBM and What Sapp. It is bar baric and from my discovery it peculiar to Nigerians*( not even Africans generally!)
