MUTHAMA currently in DEEP TROUBLE – He will be arrested NEXT WEEK for HATE SPEECH Machakos Senator, Johnstone Muthama, is currently swimming in murky waters, after National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) went to court accusing him of peddling hate speech in Machakos County. On Friday NCIC Chairman, Mzalendo Kibunjia, went to court accusing Muthama who is a CORD stalwart, of making an ethnic based outburst saying he hates members of the Asian community with passion. Last month, speaking at Machakos AIC Church, Muthama criticised Machakos Governor, Alfred Mutua, for appointing a Kenyan of Asian origin to the County’s Executive Committee. Muthama said it was wrong for Mutua to name Kumar Dhar as Minister for Industrialization yet there are many qualified locals who can fill the position. “I have nothing against Mutua but he is very wrong on this. How can he appoint an Asian to run the affairs of the County,” Muthama said. Now, the Mzalendo led commission wants Muthama arrested and prosecuted for spreading hate speech in his County. The court ordered Muthama to appear before it next week or face arrest.
