I stood by MB Khalid and all his plans to bring prosperity to the state.He scrimped and saved so that he could buy back Syabas and other companies – so water will treated as a responsibility of the government and not as a commodity. Under Khalid, the states reserves was at RM2.7 billion – highest in Selangors history. Selangor allocated RM1.85 billion for its 2014 budget – biggest in the states history. I would also like to take this opportunity to announce that as at Oct 31, 2013, Selangors consolidated funds in the form of cash and investments were RM2.7bil. I put up with bad garbage collection, potholes and rat problem in PJ, because I had my eyes on bigger things. I knew Khalid would make sure the future of Selangor was good. Now that there’s news that Khalid may no longer be the MB, I wonder what is going to happen to the RM2.7 billion in reserves. What’s going to happen to our water supply? This is not why I voted for Pakatan in the last election. I spent a lot of time, money and effort campaigning for Pakatan to retain this state just so that Khalid could continue the work he has already started. I like him because he does not behave like a politician, and maybe that is the problem. We have had enough of politicians. What this state and country needs is a technocrat like Khalid.
