MUTYA NG ESPERANZA 2014 GUIDELINES & CRITERIA 1. The Search for Mutya ng Esperanza features the beauty, wit and charm of the ladies in the municipality. 2. The candidates will qualify if they are; A. Single B. Preferably 5’3 in Height C. 16-21 years old. D. She must be a resident of the Brgy. She represents. E. With good moral character F. No derogatory records. 3. The Awards: A. Three (3) Major Awards i. Mutya ng Esperanza 2014 ii. Miss Tourism 2014 iii. Miss Culture & Arts 2014 iv. Runner- Up v. Runner Up B. Seven (7) Minor Awards i. Best in Production Number ii. Best in Esperanza Attire iii. Best in Casual Attire iv. Best in Picture Interpretation v. Best in Talent vi. Best in Fit Jeans vii. Playsuit viii. Best in Question & Answer ix. Best in Evening Long Gown C. Ten (15) Special Awards i. Miss Photogenic ii. Best in Self Introduction iii. Darling of the Crowd iv. Miss Body Beautiful v. Miss Angelic Face vi. Miss Friendship/Congeniality vii. Miss Facebook viii. Miss Flawless ix. Miss Hot Legs x. Miss Poise xi. Miss Charms xii. Miss Style xiii. Miss Accessories xiv. Miss Perfect Smile xv. Students Choice 4. The candidate and the sponsoring entity shall finance the attires/costumes in all categories/exposures . 5. The committee has the right to bend and amend any rules and regulations for any considerations needed to facilitate the success of the show. 6. No candidate is allowed to alter and/or modify the official choreography. 7. Misconduct of the team during the rehearsals (trainer, make-up artist or anyone in her team) means disqualification to compete or disqualification to the crown. 8. If the declared Mutya shall not be able to fulfill her obligations as such, then the 1st runner-up shall ipso facto become the Mutya. 9. There shall be Five (5) Members of the Panel of Judges. The Chairman of the Board will Tally the Result. 10. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and unappealable. 11. Automatic deduction of five (5) points for every violation from the total score of each judge. 12. The Judges will immediately total, rank and tally the result following the scientific and quick procedure. .Each category has equal weight, the more minor awards she is closer to the magic 5. 13. Ranking system shall be used in determining the magic 5. 14. The Special Awards shall be determined by the Committee. 15. Another Question will be asked to the 5 candidates to determine the winners of the major awards. 16. Only Two (2) Official Photographers will be allowed in the restricted area. 17. Other matters not taken up in the guidelines which may bring about doubt or dimness shall be decided by the committee and the chief executive. CRITERIA for JUDGING Production Number 1. The attire must be any dress being used in the municipality depicting the various culture like Teduray, Manobo, Maguindanaoan, Aeta, Ilocano and Ilonggo. 2. No Human props will be allowed. Only the candidates must be seen on stage. 3. The Candidates will perform a simple a dance suited to all cultures and will introduce herself to the crowd with the following data: i. Short Line to Promote Esperanza ii. Name iii. School iv. Age v. Brgy. and other sponsoring entity 4. The criteria for Esperanza Attire shall be: Creativity Appropriateness Choice of Style,Color & Accessories Over-all Appearance Total 30% 20% 30% 20% 100% 5. The criteria for Production Number shall be: Performance Speech Delivery Poise & Bearing X-Factor Total 30% 30% 20% 20% 100% Fit Jeans 1. There shall be a uniform attire of the candidates. 2. The criteria for Judging shall be: Stage Presence , Projection, Poise & Bearing Beauty of the Face & Body X-Factor Total 50% 30% 20% 100% Talent Presentation 1. The candidate’s talent must have redeeming values and entertaining. 2. The entire presentation including entrance & exit must not exceed 5 minutes. 3. Only a maximum of two (4) back up performers will be allowed during the presentation. 4. The presentation must not contain foul word or actions that might disqualify you to be a Mutya. 5. The criteria for judging shall be: Creativity of Talent Entertainment Effect & Redeeming Values Mastery Over-all Performance Total 20% 30% 10% 40% 100% Playsuit 1.
