MVD organizes free medical camp for drivers, conductors Excelsior Correspondent UDHAMPUR, Jan 14: In view of ongoing Road Safety Week from January 11-17, the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) in collaboration with Medical Department organized a medical camp for drivers and conductors at Town Hall Bus Stand. The camp was jointly inaugurated by ARTO Udhampur, Neeraj Sharma, Deputy SP, HQ, Gourav Mahajan, MVI, Sunil Cannie, DTI, Sunil Sharma and SHO Udhampur, Mahesh Sharma, in the presence of prominent citizens, representatives of Bus and Mini-Bus unions and other stake holders. While addressing the participants, Neeraj Sharma, said that there is a need to strictly follow the traffic rules and regulations and adopt safety measures to reduce the accidents to save precious lives. Thereafter, a team of doctors along with paramedical staff conducted the medical checkup of drivers and conductors such as blood pressure, blood sugar, eye test, etc. More than 100 drivers and conductors participated in the medical camp. The needy patients were also provided with free medicines.
