MY BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: Many of you know that I sit on the Whitehall City School board and as a board member I am passionate about students and families. I am SUPER excited to announce that Whitehall City Schools will be partnering with Central Ohio Workforce Investment Corporation, The City of Whitehall, The Whitehall Chamber and The Law Office of Michael Bivens to do something that I dont believe has been done in our district before. We are will be providing a JOB FAIR for the families in our district. Our district has had a 80% free and reduced lunch student body which tells us that economics is important to our families. Only employers who have actual postions will be in attendance and we are strongly encouraging livable wage positions. Attorney Michael T. Bivens will provide expungement sessions to individuals who need information on getting past offenses expunged. The City of Whitehall and the Whitehall Chamber will be in attendance as a resource. This is the FIRST time this school district has hosted an event like this. I am SUPER EXCITED for our community. This event will be held on Thursday Oct. 16, 2014 from 10-2pm in the High School Auxiliary gym. This excites me because one of the things my husband and I are extremely passionate about is staying connected and being involved to the community.
