MY CANDID OPINION I think the government should do more than sacking the resident doctors, they can also do more than that by ensuring uniform salary scale for workers including teachers in primary school because there is nothing special in health sector. The teachers Infact needs residency training to be able to effectively teach. This residency training should be extended to every professional course, and abrogation Academic PhDs and switch to Fellowship after a residency for all professional courses, Zoology, Botany, Chemistry all inclusive in it, they are professional courses too. And please remember the health sector is not an isolation unit in society. I call on the Govt to treat all civil servants equally even those in local government because everybody had one form of degree or the other and they shop from same market and as important to the society as medicine or lab technician (sorry Lab scientist). Lab scientist is not more intelligent than those that read Igbo language or Yoruba or even the Labourer in the hospital. Security men need residency much more than anybody in the hospital sef.
