MY COMMITTEE SIGHTED THE PROPOSAL TO BUY ARMOURED CARS IN 2013 BUDGET BUT WE DELETED IT BEFORE WE PASSED THE BUDGET ~~~HON. MATTEW OMEGARA ( member House Committee on Aviation ) More facts emerged at the plenary season of House of Representative on Teusday when Hon. Matthew Omegara , PDP Benue , told his angry colleagues how his committee met and deleted the proposal of NCCA to purchase the now controversial armoured cars in 2013 budget before the passage of the said budget. But the agency went back to form its own National Assembly between it and the minister of Aviation and approved the purchase without recourse to the legitimate National Assembly again. Anger well up so much on what the members considered a conscious and deliberate affront on the constitution of Nigeria and immediately ordered its Aviation Committee to investigate the purchases in a speedy period of one week ! It took the persuasive intervention of the speaker, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal to douse the rising consensus anger from boiling over among the members who were just resuming from the Sallah holiday !
