MY DAILY LIGHT [Tue. 3/11/2014] GUIDANCE JOHN 14:26 BUT THE COUNSELOR, THE HOLY SPIRIT, -THE FATHER WILL SEND HIM IN MY NAME - WILL TEACH YOU ALL THINGS AND REMIND YOU OF EVERYTHING I HAVE TOLD YOU. Commentary: The work of our salvation started with Jesus, it is by the work of the Holy Spirit that we will work it out. Jesus realized that His work was not done, so He promised us the help from the Holy Spirit to finish what was left. The problem with the Church today is that we have not tapped into the person of the Holy Spirit as we ought to to help us do the work of the kingdom. You see my friend, Gods direction for your life is not a hidden secret. You may not know where your path is taking you - or even what your next step should be - but you can be absolutely sure that what you need to know, God will show you. Though there will be moments when you must ask God for wisdom, yet experience will teach you that He is delighted when you want to do His will and He gladly shows you exactly what to do step by step- guiding you by walking with you. God gives you the Holy Spirit to counsel you, teach you, comfort you, correct you and even to instruct you. He even prays for you according to the will of the Father concerning you. He is a wonderful friend, and companion when you open up a relationship with Him. He will teach you all you need to know about Jesus (He reveals Jesus to you). The Holy Spirit is there to help you walk with knowledge not in ignorance of your belief. If you have not developed a relationship with Him, take the step of asking Him in your life today. Ask Him to teach you and to guide you in all things. Speak to Him regularly and make demands of Him in your prayer time. He is there to help you fulfill your walk with Christ and to see that you do it satisfactorily. As you come to depend on the Holy Spirit, God will make all things plain to you. In John 16:13 the scripture says that The Holy Spirit shows what is true and will come and guide you into the full truth....He will let you know what is going to happen. So friend, be patient and walk with Him. He will never steer you wrong. If you ever come to the cross-roads of life and dont know which way to turn, be confident that the Holy Spirit will make your path clear as long as you lean on Him and do as He says.
