MY ELECTION PREDICTIONS FOR THE MIDTERMS 2014 (**addition) Nate Silvers says the Republicans are on track to take the US Senate and maintain the House. I disagree with Mr. Silver on the US Senate prediction. I think the Democrats will maintain the majority in the US Senate. Either way the Democrats will have leverage. Actually more leverage if they lost the US Senate. Yes, this would give them more leverage with a Democratic President in the White House. We have a Democratic President in the White House. Note: The Governor Races are more important leading into 2016 **NORTH CAROLINA: Kay Hagan --- Will win re-election to the US Senate (+5 point margin) FLORIDA: Charlie Crist --- Next Governor of Florida Rick Scott --- Current Governor of Florida is out WISCONSIN: Mary Burke ---Next Governor of Wisconsin Scott Walker --- Current Governor of Wisconsin is out OHIO: The Democratic challenger Ed FitzGerald is behind by double digits to Governor John Kasich. The ground game will determine this race. Democratic turnout is the key for Ed FitzGerald. As it stands, Governor Kasich will be re-elected. MICHIGAN: Mark Schauer --- Next Governor of Michigan (margin of victory +4 points) Rick Snyder --- Current Governor of Michigan is out
