MY FACEBOOK FRIENDS hello there, just thought Ill share with you my sentiments of the day/night. Im getting prepared to do some poetry tomorrow and I look forward to it. I can remember maybe two years ago, when no one could get me to speak in front of an audience. I love to write and when I do write, Im alone. So to get up in front of a group of people and open my mouth was troublesome for me. If you were to spend a day with me while Im doing hair, one would never think that I have a shy side of me, but I do. But since I have been asked to do some presentations, some book discussion, I am moving away from that side. Another thing I am deep in thoughts about tonight, that is thanking God. You know many years ago, I stepped out of working for others and decided to work for myself. Yes I know many would say oh what she does is small, it has no weight, she has no title, no prestige or anything like that. to that I say two things...a stranger once told me that what I was doing is what most desire and that is to not have a boss and he said, you are home with your children, you are at reach if they need you twenty four hours. When he said that, that made me feel so good. The other part, I always loved braiding hair ever since I was taught at the age of nine. Even today I love working with braids, so I guess I am saying I actually love my job and not too many people can say that. I hear day in and day out, the complaints of working, I have never complained about getting out of my bed and walking a few feet to my office...LOL Thank you God. And to top it off, I am accomplishing my dream I have had in me for ever. Oh I know some of you all will see me around town driving my hoopty and sometimes I forget to take the hair clamps from my clothes after working all day, before I leave home, I have to make sure hair isnt following me, but you all know what? Im still enjoying it and is still good at it. And I AM A PUBLISHED AUTHOR, working on my third book and guess what I have an agent interested. AGAIN, thank YOU Jesus
