MY FAMILY NO LONGER WANTED ME, LEFT ME TIED UP IN A BASEMENT. PLEASE SAVE MY LIFE :( Donald is lost, confused & trying to make the best of his unfortunate situation. Found as a stray, he ended up at the high-kill ACC. It didnt take long for him to catch the shelter cold and be put on the kill list for Sunday at noon. Quiet and shy, Donald is loved by volunteers who gave him rave reviews. A volunteer writes: Look up gorgeous in the dictionary and by rights there should be a picture of Donald, he is so unbelievably handsome! His shiny pewter coat is flawless, his ears perfectly cropped and he carries his solid yet muscular physique with the grace and dignity of a King. Though Donald arrived as a stray its abundantly clear that only a few days ago he was a well cared for pet and the transition from his former home to our Care Center has not been an easy one for this quiet, friendly boy. Donald is still finding his feet and prefers to keep a low profile at the moment so rather than focus on socializing with us humans he concentrates on his two favorite pastimes; sniffing out his new surroundings and meeting other dogs. Hes a polite walker who appears to be very house trained and pulls on the leash only to be closer to his canine pals and while he keeps his nose to the ground much of the time, the sight or even just the sound of another dog is enough to perk his ears and set his long tail in motion. He greets fellow pups in a focused but very friendly way ..... and though he doesnt seek out snuggles I can pet him all over with no issues at all. Donald is opening up more and more with each passing day and Im sure that once he feels safe and secure in a new forever home his personality will shine just as brightly as his exquisite good looks.... Please dont let him be killed needlessly tomorrow. Donald can be adopted via the ACC website if you can pick him up in 48 hrs, or can be fostered through a New Hope partner.
