MY FAVOURITE THINGS...... This plane was one of my very first infills...and started me down a very slippery slope of love with these wonderful tools. Its interesting...though probably tool blasphemy (LOL!) that this old lady is quite comfortable being armed with a modern Asian iron. The Quangsheng T10 steel is so very good...I bought it to be temporary while I made a suitable iron but now...all these years later...it seems a shame to change it out now. In this article in my blog I describe how I fix damaged horns. There are some restorations which are necessary to enable the tool to be used and I am a firm believer in using ALL of my restorations rather than sticking them in a cabinet. This is definitely a user..indeed..it is my go to jack. The front bun is unorthodox but extremely comfortable...and part of its history...so that will never be changed.
