MY HEART CRIES OUT My heart cries out When I hear of a child Being raped, abused, Used and misused By the person they looked up to Not having a clue Of what to do Hoping the next time for death Because hope has left Wanting their soul to rest My heart cries out My heart cries out When I hear of the hate That’s still spoken Anger awoken Souls broken Because of ignorant words Feelings so absurd Because of lies heard Leading to shootings nationwide Many committing suicide Separation has grown so wide My heart cries out My heart cries out When I see an elder disrespected And it’s never interjected Because it’s expected From this next generation Who will run this nation With no high expectations They have no manners for anyone Chivalry there’s none And we haven’t seen it all There’s more to come My heart cries out My heart cries out As we become more shallow Hearts hollow Cause the bible is no longer followed The Word is debated Forbidden laws created More Christians are hated As they fight for what’s right Sin is no longer hidden by the night The devil’s pushing for the light My heart cries out My heart cries out Seeing all the nations at war While many would like to ignore What’s in store For us as a people If we don’t create peace We will see the death toll increase It has to cease We have to change our minds Change our hearts and thinking Get back in line My heart cries out My heart cries out For that child who always feels alone Love never shown Anger prone Because of a mother who doesn’t care A father who’s never there Leaving feelings too hard to bear Thinking… I’m just a mistake, they want me to die I’ll be a bully to help justify The tears that fall from my eyes My heart cries out My heart cries out For that man who lost his job He’s been downsized, he feels robbed Losing faith as he turns many locked knobs He loses his house Then loses his spouse His spirit becomes doused Now the streets is where he lies Hoping with this life he gets another try But many ignore him and just walk by My heart cries out My heart cries out For that woman who’s being ignored By the man who adored And wanted more Than to be by her side as one Her man for years now a separation has begun He’s no longer fun And he’s lost his fire Now she’s fighting the desire To run to the other man Who’s reaching for her hand As she continues to reach out to her man Hoping he soon understands My heart cries out My heart cries out We need to change (you can hear this on my website: tabucreations)
