MY JOURNEY,, I have told yall many things about my life,,my childhood,, growing up in a coal camp,,my mom passing when I was 16,,leaving home not long after meeting my late husband,, getting married on my 18th birthday & thought I was going to live happily ever after. But our life or lifes journey just dont work out the way we want or the way we plan. God has our journey in this life already planned for us from the time we enter this world & even before. He sets us on a path and our journey begins. All the things I have told you about my life has been a part of my journey. See sometimes we may stray off the path God has set us on & we wonder around like were lost and we are,,we have lost sight of the direction for our lives. I have traveled places I have enjoyed then again I have been in places I just didnt want to be and dont know how I got there but it was all apart of the journey of life,,my life. I have traveled some smooth roads and again I have traveled some rough rocky roads,, climbed mountains and walked through some lonely valleys. But there is always a lesson to learn on ever road we travel. My lifes journey has taken me many places met many people just like now with the Appalachian American site. Have met some wonderful people on here. I dont know where the next chapter of my travel will take me or what will happen but I know where ever & what ever it is I will be OK. Ive never been one to just sit down and give up,,sometimes I have had to stop,,,think things through to see which direction would be best for me but then I get up and journey on. As I sit here and look back on my life,,there are some bad memories but the good ones far out weigh the bad & if I could change anything it would be my own mistakes I have made in the past,, But the mistakes are a part of life too,,we grow & learn from them,,or I sure hope I have. I dont sit and ponder on maybe I could have had a better life but I thank God for my life & for what he blessed me with. I have 2 wonderful children that are not just my children,,but God blessed me with 2 best friends... It has not always been the best,,but it has always been good. On my journey,, some have walked with me,,some have come and gone,, sometimes we pick up hitchhikers we wish later we had left on the side of the road,,lol,, but their memory will always remain weather good or bad,, IT IS WHAT IT IS. Theres no going back to start over but just keep going forward & try not make the same mistakes. We all are on this journey,, we may travel different roads but were all headed for the same direction and that is the finish line. Yes my journey has been long,,sometimes sweet,,, sometimes hard,, But its my journey,,not got to pick and choose who always traveled with me but sperate the good from the bad and travel on.
