MY MOM… Rewrote after Mom’s passing, November 1, 2014… You could hear her every morning in the kitchen she would sing. Cooking for eight kids and dad and not once did she complain. When I wasn’t able to come to the food it would always come to me. A big smile and her lovely voice saying, “Honey you have to eat”. I know I wouldn’t be the same if she wasn’t in my life. So many times she encouraged me through all the pain and strife. The nights around the ironing board, the stories seemed to flow. I often forgot where I was, getting lost in the worlds she could show. I love her so much for the things she did and I thank God for giving her to me. I’d be nothing if it weren’t for her, bless all her children Lord is my plea. Thanks for being there for me Mom throughout the many trials. Without you and dad I’d be less than nothing, we’ve traveled so many miles. To give you silver or gold is not enough, you’re worth so much more. An angel sent from Heaven, a lighthouse on the shore. An anchor during stormy seas, an island filled with peace. A place where I could find comfort, my mother so kind and sweet. I love you mom and thank the Lord for you is all that I can say. I’ll always cherish all the days gone by, and I’ll see you again on Homecoming Day. Fred Parks In Memory of a Precious Mommy Helen Parks Born; December 18, 1936 Died; November 1, 2014
