MY MY MY..what an hour of excitement, panicked, ending in joy with relief and now worry..so I get home 10pm leave the door open for fresh air my pom Reynah gos out side and gets in a fight with a Momma raccoon!!! OM GAWD I here a vicious fight, yipping growling scary shit guy,s!!!! I panic of course Cuz I realize oh shit my dog is getting killed by a raccoon! I run out in a frenzy to protect her she is backed in a tight spot but I can not tell whos doing the Kik ass really, Cuz like its dark! Rey heres me YELLING her name so she is trying to get to me, the fight follows to me on the porch and I can see Rey trying to get to me so I pik up our 7-8 foot wooden latter and raise it high above my head realizing Im stronger than I thought..I hurl it right at the two, scared by then I may have hurt or could have killed my dog!! Whew!!! She dogged that bullet AND the raccoon!! She made it to me OK, it did not appear anything was wrong with her at that point..like she is excited to see me and waging her tail..she fought of a raccoon Im thinking!! what a relief like she won the battle! Well I hope anyways as now she is babying her left leg. I see a tiny bit of blood under her arm a tooth mark..she has had rabies shot, I still worry so off to vet tomorrow... Ugh..so by now I am hearing noise out back yard, I watch for almost an hour, Momma and her pups are trying to escape ..so I get my flash light out and I am witnessing something of nature and how a momma raccoon is teaching her babies to escape dangers.. So like she is trying to get them to crawl up the tree right, but they are very young yet and so they slide down fall to the ground over and over, all this while all these raccoon noises they make is going on..momma jumps the fence and she is trying to teach the to follow but they struggle to get over!! this gos on n for at least 25 min FINALLY they make it over and WAH-LAH they are GONE!! WHEW!! Get this, they been under my house for over a month, i Thought i just wait until they can see at about a month, and Mother raccoon will move on with them..And it appears thats what she was doing tonight..i left an opening for her to get them out, i have now covered that crawl space SHUT! The Raccoon invasion has now been SOLVED!!
