MY OCD IS ACTING UP AGAIN. Its a strange condition. If you were to see my worktable where I craft all my horseshoe nail items, you would see the five pairs of pliers I use lined up from largest to smallest, equal distance apart, arranged symmetrically vertically and horizontally. At night when i empty out my pockets of my new Swiss army knife, car keys, billfold, they too of course are arranged neatly on top of my dresser equal distance apart. Ive always needed to arrange things in my environment. Of course on the other hand, I just throw my socks, pants, shirt down on the bench by the foot of our bed. I seem to have no need to put them neatly into the closet or throw socks in laundry. Well, anyhow, heres the point of my little blurb on OCD. When I was at the auction last week, I bought a box (huge) full of every size and diameter of screws and bolts. A year ago thieves who broke into the rental we were working on stole my other box i had had for like ten years with every size of screw, washer, bolts I always took to my worksite. So anyway, I went and bought two Stanley 14 compartment storage cases yesterday and spread one of them out on living room table last night with my new box of screws from auction. Bonnie looks over at me and says You know Paul when were 90 and in the nursing home, Im going to tell them if they want to make you happy, give you a box of screws and bolts to sort. Ill tell you, for about three hours last night I was in hog heaven sorting that huge box of screws and bolts into 14 compartments. Only got about half the box sorted but will pick up on it again tonight. It really does have a practical application when im working on these rentals. In case youre wondering, I do not have to check all the locks in our house before I go to bed just as long as my five pairs of pliers are laid out in their perfect order.
