MY OFFICIAL STATEMENT :-) Many of you called and texted me yesterday saying you couldnt make my birthday concert.. due to sickness and schedule conflict! You didnt have to do that, but you loved me just THAT MUCH to reach out to me.. I am awed by that. Now let me rub it in... YOU MISSED IT! Janice J Jackson, girrrrl, there is no way I could have chosen better singers.. U need to go into business. You were amazing with scheduling, and it was YOU who got the band the info they needed, you cut your trip to New Orleans short, got on the Amtrak and made it back in time for me.. there is no friend like you. Christina Williams, Janet Lachelle, Lucinda Jones, Rachel, Zorriante R. Brown, Krystal, Christina Elisha Jones, Paris Baker, .. OMG! We werent able to do all our featured stuff cause of time constraints and because I put too many people on the program.. I know they mad at me LOL! But Imma make it up.. WATCH!! Seddrick Ware was indeed the most PATIENT sound man in the world last night.. We didnt do the soundchecks he needed which caused him to overwork. But OMG, if you had heard the sound in that place, you wouldnt believe it. He and Shuron Denise Ware didnt leave that church until about 3AM last night.. I should have paid him MORE! Im booking him from now on. There is no Sound Expert in the entire city of Chicago like Sed! Darwin Purpose Driven Jackson, Jerrel Johnson, Lucho, Timothy Iwasmadetolove Jackson, The Faith Temple Groove Machine, did they thing last night... They were the Tower of Power last night and I ALMOST pulled MY horn out. They rehearsed in the basement last night, came upstairs, and KILLT US! Dave Priest and that praise team.. JESUS! Now THATS what Im talking about. They brought REAL praise and the sound was EE-MAZING! I knew exactly what I was doing when I chose them. Yall better recognize :-) Larry Jones did the most BOLDEST thing I had ever seen done at my church.. he resurrected the sounds of the 70s.. Even Marvin Gaye showed up. I have never heard it put the way he put it... it was extremely educational. If you had seen the looks on the peoples face when he pulled out MOTOWN LOL! And when he capped it with Its gonna rain, they then GOT IT! Evangelist Chrysann Moore... ok, Im gonna say her name again, Chrysann Moore.. WOW! She is Chicagos Unsung Hero! She electrified that house last night... Good Grief. I warned the people, but they didnt believe me... Lol Gaston Gray Consulting walked down the Isle with crutches in both arms, sat down, and CROONED us all happy. We couldnt Bare it (get it?). Pastor Joshua Randolph is now my friend for LIFE! He let about 15 of the BAADEST ladies come to my event to sing me into a sugar high. Thank you Monica S Davis for the hookup, I gotta get out to the church and bless you guys musically. Calvin Bridges aint no joke yall.... He did two of his old tunes and ROCKED DA HOUSE! I tried getting the Mic back, it was USELESS! Im coming back over the house for some more Spanetti... lets say around 6ish? Lawrence C Jones, I got only one word to say, GALAXY! Fred Hammond dont know WHAT he got... Ive known this boy all his life, but I have NEVER heard him play under the anointed like that before. He even had Bishop Moody on his feet. Benjamin Moore and that band.. the TIGHTEST band in all Chicago. They had ONE rehearsal, but you would not have known it. They were Spontaneous and Flowed under the anointed. I didnt want anybody but Ben as my MD, and I think it was the best choice yet. Wardell Campbell Sr. joined Shirlene Baker and Trisha J. Baker at the end with my favorite music of all time.. HYMNS! I know they were exhausted, it was about 10:30 before I put them up.. But when they began to sing, the spirit of the Lord took over the house and we went into Worship... which led us into Is there any way... U had to have been there :-) My Faith Temple Evanston family (choir) stayed the entire night and sang me happy.. Gosh, I love them! They were soooo patient and so understanding. Angie Mims greeted the people at the door, with her FINE self... now I see why all the men were smiling. Avas Nana, girrrrrl, the work you put into this and the hospitality and the hugs and the... well, Im running out of room. Last but not least, Annette Harris... There is NOO WAY I could have pulled this off without you.. Im almost in tears writing this right now. You, my sister, need to work at the White House (No Joke), there are soo many Fortune 500 Executives who would kill to have you as their P.A.. yet, you allow little old me to boss you around.. I owe you BIG TIME! I cant afford you.. but Im gonna one day.. but by that time, youd be in the White House UGH! I blame 75% of the success of my concert last night on YOU... and you alone :-) This is gonna be my Azusa Street Annual Event... So see you NEXT YEAR!
