MY OPINION ON FREE EDUCATION In the Zambian case I think its unrealistity as at now to provide free education upto University level. Which sector is going to be subsidising the education sector? I think what we need as a country today is a leader that will talk more on improving the working conditions of the employed and embark on a vigorous employment creation programs both in the formal and informal sectors so that people would be paying for their childrens education. I for one feel proud to pay for my childrens school fees and It gives me homework all the time to not relent but come up with ways and means to improve the economy of my family. Free things are not bad but there must be a limit to which they can be given. Zambia we are still struggling in many sectors and with free education from grade one to university do you think these other sectors will improve? With the little resources at hand,we a failing to build or rehabilitate the same schools and I wonder how they are going to be looking like if tution fees will be no more. So for me free education as at now is a myth for the Zambian setup because vital areas of our economy will suffer terribly. My appeal to the next government is give people jobs and let them pay for their necessities. #bomb me not just spoke my mind. God bless Zambia.
