MY PLANS FOR ZONE C AS SENATOR COME 2015 My people, I greet - TopicsExpress

MY PLANS FOR ZONE C AS SENATOR COME 2015 My people, I greet you in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. This is just to reassure you that we are not resting on our oars at all, as we are quite aware that the challenges we face in the process of creating the desired change in our land after our electoral victory on 14th February 2015 are immense. But we are equal to the task, and we are not at all intimidated by the seeming enormity of the task. As a matter of personal principle, if the challenge is not tough, then I am not interested. I have always loved taking on big tasks and accomplishing them to the full, and that is what gives me the confidence that removing the incumbent from his long held office which has not benefitted our people in the past 16 years and even earlier positions he has held, is a task that must be done. I count on your continued support and prayers to make this happen. As I pointed out earlier in one of my messages, I am not asking anyone to change their current political affiliations. By all means, remain in your preferred political parties, as we need to have a vibrant alternative political party structure in order to foster a healthy development of our democratic experience. All I ask is that you vote according to your innermost convictions. If you are as tired of oppression, inaction, and nepotism in our day to day lives, and you want to effect a change which gives our future generations hope, and opens up the arena of opportunities for our people, who are all equally qualified to hold any position in our land, then by all means, vote for me. But if you are satisfied with the current state of affairs, then vote for the incumbent. My conviction is that most of our people in Benue South Senatorial District will see what I see: the fact that there is no hope of a better life in the horizon under the current dispensation, and that we should be desperate for change and vote out the incumbent on election day in 2015. For long, he has been seeing himself as Senate President, without realizing that he first has to be a Senator representing his people before he can be Senate President, and that his powers ought to derive from the support of his people, not otherwise. My promise to you is that, throughout this journey together, I will always remain your servant, and never your master. And that is why I will never resort to flying in helicopters when visiting my constituency, to rub in my superiority over my people as is currently the case. Doing so removes you from reality, as you will never know the state of the roads. No wonder, the Otukpo - Enugu Road roundabout has remained in its current embarrassing state for years, when a simple phone call to the Minister of Works would have done the trick. The same goes for most other roads in Zone C, and other very mundane and basic amenities like water, healthcare, schools, etc. Everywhere we turn, the signs of neglect are evident I am convinced that we cannot continue like this, if we dont want our children to blame us when they grow up. To avoid grandstanding and empty, recycled promises, I have articulated, in clear terms, some of the key projects I want to be held accountable for when you give me your mandate on 14th February 2015. I urge all of you to visit our campaign website - okaleya.org to acquaint yourselves with my programs, and I welcome your honest and frank feedback and inputs on any or all of the proposed activities during the four years I will be in office. God bless you all, as we look with confidence towards our emancipation for sustained progress come 2015 and beyond! Best wishes, Chief Madaki Omadachi Ameh Odejo KAdoka, Inyale KEdikwu Senatorial Aspirant, Benue South Senatorial District, Zone C
