MY REFUGE Mark 5:36 – “As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, ‘Do not be afraid; only believe.’ ” Jesus Christ explained in this passage that for us to live a successful life and to have victory over the common calamities of human life, we must have no other refuge than this command of Jesus, ‘only believe’. When we step out in simple faith and take God at His every Word, we can begin to walk in victory in every situation of life. What are your challenges today? You might be experiencing limitation in progress, hardship in your working place, disunity in your family or disappointment by people – whatever your challenges are, remember that crises can never break the one who relies on God’s strength. You can only rely on God’s strength by faith. Remember, the Bible says in Luke 10:19 that He has given us the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt us. When you step out in faith, standing your ground fearlessly and without wavering, you step into the believer’s authority and when you step into the believer’s authority, you have the enemy under your feet! The only thing we need in order to overcome our daily challenges in life is simply to believe that we have a Friend, the Holy Spirit who will overcome every giant for our sake – the rest is history.
