MY RESOLUTION 2015 - I HOPE I CAN KEEP THEM.... PRAYING.... Literal: Whenever I feel the itch on my skin, I will not scratch it. - Lately, Ive been inflicted with itchiness over my skin, and when I scratched it, the wound got worst. - So, I decided to refrain from scratching even though the urge is so great. After a few minutes, I didnt feel the itch anymore. - And Ive got the best result, the wound is healed. - Though every now and then, there is an itchy sensation, I managed not to scratch it. Reflection & Application: In my life around me, there are so much of distraction and temptation, trying to distract me from what I have set up my mind to do. - I want to set my heart pure before the Lord my God in Whom I love. - I want to love Him, and I want to love every living soul, no matter who they are, far or near. - I want to forgive others even though they may be hostile to me. - If theres anything I desire, and realize this is not Gods will, I will forsake it. - I will do my utmost best in the power of the Holy Spirit to care for others even I have been cared by others, and by God. Scripture Application: Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Matthew 16:24-26 Then Jesus said to his disciples, Whoever wants to be My disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow Me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for Me will find it. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of Gods mercy, offer your bodies as a LIVING SACRIFICE, HOLY AND PLEASING TO GOD - this is your TRUE AND PROPER WORSHIP. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what Gods will is - His good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 8:3-4; 7-11; 14-17 For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending HIS own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so He condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. THE MIND GOVERNED BY THE FLESH IS HOSTILE TO GOD; IT DOES NOT SUBMIT TO GODS LAW, NOR CAN IT DO SO. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. AND IF THE SPIRIT OF HIM WHO RAISED JESUS FROM THE DEAD IS LIVING IN YOU, HE WHO RAISED CHRIST FROM THE DEAD WILL ALSO GIVE LIFE TO YOUR MORTAL BODIES BECAUSE OF HIS SPIRIT WHO LIVES IN YOU. For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by Him we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are Gods children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs - heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory.
