If I commit something wrong about it, please advise me so that I can impart myself; Help me in the promotion of truth, to comply with the mandates given to me by our National Headquarters and aspire to become a part of our organization working for a better, and competitive to among of our members and in the global markets as a whole. My fellow Architects, today we vow to be proactive along the landscape of volunteerism and service. We are the Architects committed to sharing in some ways in whatever capacities and situations we can be of help. We feel we can manage ourselves in collaborative roles. None of us is smart as all of us. None of us can work efficiently alone. We should work as a group and collaborate with others and work within a team. We aligned and planned initial projects along our level of capabilities. We have our limitations. You can see that our UAP-KSA Riyadh Chapter Membership is growing every year because of SPLBE we have. For effective results in our extended tasks and plans, we are inviting our entire members to join and proactive to all chapter activities. We pray for more Members to join our fold and work with us for productive chapter and community service. As professionals, we strongly believe and affirm that it would be better if we are involve and organized to reach out in our genuine desire to help others in needs of assistance. Although we believe that we are professionally ready and prepared after so many years in this field of architecture, maturity and experience, we feel that we have the competence to do what is entrusted to us. We feel that through “group thinks". As an Architect of UAP-KSA Riyadh Chapter, we have a vision to grasp and direct us. We have a mission to fulfill and accomplish. We vouch for our competence, confidence, and a mission to achieve our vision. Fellow Architects, In pursuit of excellence can only be understood within the context of Filipino Architects that seeks to accomplish. Thus, in framing my points, I will begin by suggesting briefly on the purposes of Filipino Architects in Saudi Arabia, particularly we from UAP – KSA Riyadh Chapter. Let us devote the balance of our theme to the “Excellence” objective, thought broadly as educating our members to a high standard and advancing disseminating knowledge. We will be identified as best and mark of our progress and observe in more details the modern-day challenges to the continued “Filipino Architects: In Pursuit of Excellence and Professional Responsibility." Honesty, Integrity and Competency, shall be observed as the foundations of our UAP-KSA Riyadh Chapter, to the three principles of professional conduct such as: 1. Integrity – members shall act with honesty and integrity at all times. 2. Competence – members shall act competently, conscientiously and responsibly. 3. Relationship – members shall respect the relevant rights and interest of others. Fellow Architects, Members of UAP-KSA Riyadh Chapter, let us dedicated to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and competence. Our general obligation should maintain and advance our knowledge to the art and science of architecture, respect the body of architectural accomplishment, contribute to its growth, thoughtfully consider the social and environmental impact of our practiced activities, and exercise learned and uncompromising professional judgment. My Fellow Architects of UAP-KSA Riyadh Chapter, I would like to quote this from Anonymous contribution and says: Are You an Active Member? Are you an active member, the kind who would be missed? Or are you just contented that, your name is on the list? Do you attend the meetings
and mingle with the flock? Or do you stay away, and criticize and knock? Do you take an active part
to help the works along? Or are you satisfied to be, the kind who “just belongs”? Do you ever work on committees
to see there is no trick? Or leave the work to just a few, and talk about the clique. So come to meetings often
and help with hand and heart. Don’t be just a member, but take and active part. Think this over
you know right from wrong. Are you an active member, or do you
just belong? So, I leave you with this word...Congratulations to every one of us because what we are already doing is a great part of what we believe we should do. Architecture jobs seem like a good career choice. Going to work, drawing houses, and getting a big paycheck and the reality are different. Here is an insight to us, as architects, where we will find it is not about the money but about the love for our professions; and not about the ease of becoming an architect but about the beauty of it. To all our Guest of Honor (thank you for your support the UAP Riyadh), Fellow Officers and Members of UAP Riyadh, to the Officers and Members of MBAPs, to the wife and the family members of UAP Riyadh (maraming salamat sa inyong pang unawa sa min at we believe to what Ar.
