MY SPEECH TO THE ZAPATISTAS.. I never imagined that Id be addressing a Zapatista audience, as well as CNI (Congreso Nacional Indigena) and Ayotzinapa comrades, including some of the 43 students parents, and companeros from around the world.. but.. it happened.. and it was such an honor! I quickly wrote up a brief statement (literally in 10 mins) during a sharing session in Campeche, that expressed Palestinian solidarity with the indigenous people of Mexico, asserted the interconnections between our struggles, and touched on BDS as a method of resistance (and suggested that it should be used more universally). It wasnt a brilliant statement by any stretch, but the intensity of the applause nonetheless reveals the strong sentiment of solidarity with Palestine. And.. at the end of the conference, a proposal was presented to boycott the major Mexican corporations that are behind so much of the inequality and injustice here! :) So here it is.. no photography was allowed so it is only a sound recording.. AQUI Y ALLA, LA LUCHE SEGUIRA!! (Here and there, the struggle continues!!)
