MY SWEET FRIEND HAS DIED Dr. Alicia Ghiragossian, world renown Armenian poet and 2 time candidate for the Nobel Prize in Literature, has passed from this life into the freedom beyond. I met Poet Alicia as she was affectionately known, about 10 years ago. She had read and gave the most wonderful endorsement to my book, Powerful Attitudes. I visited her in her Armenian Castle in Glendale, California shortly after we met. She had recently received word to attend a ceremony for the Nobel Prize. For the second time, she had been nominated for the prestigious award. She had over 60 published works and had several forwards written by the Dalai Lama who recognized her amazing work for world peace. When I was there, we celebrated her recent nomination and her birthday in July of 2004. She was known as the official laureate of Armenia. Im shocked by the news having corresponded with her just a few months ago. She never told me about the pancreatic cancer that had invaded her body. Im saddened by the news. My heart, prayers and love go out to her daughter and extended family.
