***MY TAKE ON SINGLE PARENTING*** This is NOT a role I chose, its a role I accepted. Let me tell you... its a hard role to play and not everyone can do it. To all the single parents out there, whether youre a mother or father doing this on your own, KUDDOS KUDDOS KUDDOS! I consider myself a very strong person, but sometimes the weight is a bit much. At the point I have a choice, to buckle under the weight or to push through. If you know me, you know I will push through. Every morning I pray for the strength to make it through the day and every night I thank God for seeing me through. I pray for acceptance, forgiveness, and most of all for patience. I dont kid myself I know I have a great support system with my family and friends, but at the end of the day, its me my girls count and rely on. If you are lucky enough not to be doing this on your own, take a moment and thank your husband, wife, partner, girlfriend, boyfriend, or significant other. One day at a time, one foot in front of the other, and always looking forward. Elia and Alexa, everything I do, I do with the best of intentions for you both. You both are my world and my life would be incomplete without my beautiful girls. Mommy loves you girls to the moon and back. I pray Im doing you both justice.
