MY TESTIMONY Today, 23rd October 2014 marks 12 years since that fateful wednesday afternoon. I had to ask mum as to where we were, how? why? That was about two weeks after the incident. We re at Kamuzu Central Hospital, you had fallen from a tree, doctors say you sustained a thoracic spine injury. Your spinal cord is severely damaged, and this means you will not be able to walk, jump,run again. You will soon be given a wheelchair for mobility, sounded the voice. This was more than what an eleven year old me,then, could bear. The hospital could not do anything about it, only if i were to be sent abroad,as the doctors recommended, a surgery was to improve things. So much hurting, the costs of flying were prohibitive. I felt the weight of the whole wolrd on my shoulders. Darkness was the only thing I could see if I tried to peep into my future. I became so much despondent. I wished I could just die and forget everything. I envied my agemates as they walk,jump,run,swim and go to school while I was at home induring the pain. The hospital became an usual place to visit. Life became so miserable till I met this man we call Jesus. He turned my life into something beautiful. My future was re-brightened. Now, I live my everyday carefree and happily being conscious of the greater one in me. By faith, I manage to subdue every life crisis I encounter. I am destined for greater things and God is not yet done with me.
