MY THOUGHTS ON THE REDS 2014 SEASON Well today starts the long 162 game season for Cincy and folks I hate to say it, but I think it will be just that, loooong! St. Louis has brought in more good players while The Reds have done little plus The Cards pitchers are better then The Reds are. You might hate Yadier Molina but he is the best Catcher in the game and makes St. Louis the favorite to win The Central. With all of the injuries already to The Reds pitching staff both starters and bullpen guys, it doesnt look good for the long haul. If Simon has to start many games thats trouble and I still think Cueto wont win 7 games this season. That leaves Homer, Leake and Cingrani to carry the load till Latos gets healthy...not exactly Koufax, Drysdale and Clemens. On the offensive side a lot depends on Votto and Phillips. Plus will Ludwig bounce back and then you have the million dollar question of Billy Hamilton. Will he be the answer leading off or will he struggle. Too many questions for me to put this team in The Playoffs...Sorry folks but say hello to 4th place.
